September 9, 2023 was another eventful day for us in the Circle of Impact and the entire Ila-orangun Community.

Ila SDGs Summit, first of Its kind in Osun State came with lots of revelations and innovation.

The participants at the event were greatly inspired by the various speakers and panelists at the event. There was significant mindset shift through various presentations.

The keynotes address was very instructive by telling the gathering reasons why the blame must be replaced with actions. Participants were reminded that social innovation is about questioning and helping societies to rethink old systems . It is the result of intentional work trying to make positive change happen, but through new approach.

Participants were exposed to various opportunities situated around the SDGs and their targets.

The panelists didn’t mixed words when they admonished the participants on how to develop passion, determination and focus in self development and positive contribution to societal development. This session was marked with inspiring messages to secondary school children and youths who attended the programme.

There came also challenges to various set to take up responsibility. The Circle of Impact was instructed to consider recycling as a means to improve financial health of the organisation in order to achieve sustainability.

There came a resolution to in conjunction with teachers of public and private schools to organise:

1. Expanded training on SDGs for teachers
2. First trade fair among Schools (products of arts, craft and vocational training)

It was indeed another history of impact. Our organisation is open to more collaboration to do more. Join us as we scale up social impact through meaningful productive youths engagement.
